Currently, in Vietnam, the rate of children with cleft lip deformities is about 0.1%. If not treated, it will affect the aesthetics, speech ability, and eating of the child. Although it does not directly threaten life, the lack of confidence, difficulties in communication, and social integration pose significant challenges for children in life.

Understanding the difficulties and disadvantages that children and their families have to face, Hai Phong International Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, in collaboration with the International Children’s Surgical Foundation (ICSF) from the USA, organizes a humanitarian examination and surgery program for children with congenital cleft lip deformities. The program will take place from April 13, 2026, to April 18, 2026, at Hai Phong International Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, with the participation of Prof. Dr. W. Geoff Williams, a leading international expert in surgery.

Specially, the program will cover all examination and surgery costs for children with complete cleft lip who have never undergone surgery. This is a golden opportunity to bring beautiful smiles and confidence to those unfortunate children with this defect. We hope to help them integrate with their peers, overcome communication difficulties, and thrive in life.
