After 5 working days from October 5 to October 9, 2026, on the afternoon of October 9, the JCI expert team conducted a summary report session of the initial evaluation at Hai Phong International Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital. The comments and recommendations exchanged during the program serve as a basis for the Hospital to identify priority improvement areas on the journey towards JCI standards.

Attending the program were Dr. Pham Thu Xanh, MD, PhD – Head of the JCI Steering Committee, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hang Kenh Healthcare System, Executive Director of Hai Phong International Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital; Dr. Hoang Van Dung, MD, PhD – Deputy Head of the JCI Steering Committee; along with the Heads of Chapters, JCI Chapter Secretaries, and representatives of the leadership of various Departments/Rooms/Centers.
During the evaluation period, the JCI expert team conducted a comprehensive survey of the Hospital’s operations through document review, patient trace surveys, observation of practices in departments/rooms, and interviews with staff and patients. Systems related to quality, patient safety, facility management and safety (FMS), infection prevention and control (PCI)… were also reviewed and assessed.
At the closing session, the expert team summarized and discussed the observations from the actual survey, helping the Hospital gain a more comprehensive understanding of the implementation of JCI standards in expertise, management, and patient care. The evaluation feedback is an important source of information for the Hospital to continue to promote the effective practices already in place, while also developing improvement plans for issues that need enhancement.
