Located on the first floor of the 19 International Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital in Hai Phong, the Emergency Department is considered the gateway of the International Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, serving as the clinical department that receives and examines patients admitted in emergency situations, as well as patients seeking care outside of regular hours; closely coordinating with inpatient departments in examining and treating patients.
Gathering a strong team of doctors with high professional experience in Obstetrics and Pediatrics; a team of reception nurses who are experienced and friendly in triaging patients. Organizing the reception of patients and clients according to procedures, proactively welcoming from the emergency entrance to the consultation area and providing complete information on tests and services of the hospital with the motto “Patients are warmly welcomed – Patients are cared for attentively – Patients are thoroughly advised upon discharge.”
A spacious area with two separate sections: Obstetric Emergency and Pediatric Emergency; equipped with transport support devices and mobile beds, blood collection rooms, examination rooms, and procedure rooms.
The emergency department operates under a quality management model. Ensuring the safety of patients and their families with high professional competence, responsibility, and professionalism of healthcare staff. There is an air conditioning and ventilation system ensuring that patients are served and cared for in a clean, comfortable environment.
The Emergency Department is equipped with modern medical instruments: obstetric monitoring machines, electrocardiograms, a central oxygen system, and many other advanced medical tools.
– Receive and manage emergency cases and care for patients until stable, then transfer them to clinical departments for treatment or to the Anesthesia and Resuscitation Department for continued resuscitation (if the patient’s condition remains unstable after emergency care).
– Participate in external emergency responses in cases of mass emergencies, disaster emergencies, or requests from lower-level facilities.
– Coordinate and provide professional support for the emergency system in other departments within the hospital.
– In cases of severe illness beyond professional capacity, consult with higher-level facilities for support or transfer.
– Examine and manage obstetric emergency cases and conditions referred from primary care.
– Examine and manage emergency surgeries when there are indications for Obstetric and Pediatric pathologies.
