Stye or chalazion is one of the common inflammatory conditions of the eyelids that occurs in both adults and children. In cases where the chalazion or stye is large causing significant redness of the eyelid or persistent stye, additional antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medications may be prescribed to help drain the pus in the early stages.
