According to Professor Syriyama, patient falls are not a new issue but are often overlooked by hospitals. Within the hospital, there are many causes and risk factors that can lead to patient falls, such as environmental factors (ill-fitting footwear, clothing obstructions, furniture, slippery floors\u2026); side effects of medications (causing fatigue, drowsiness, dizziness, balance disorders); and the patient’s existing medical conditions (paralysis, tremors, dizziness, poor vision\u2026). Additionally, she noted that falls in hospitals not only directly affect patient health but also lead to dissatisfaction with service quality, diminishing the reputation of healthcare staff and the medical facility.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
