Reviving the seeds of life: Dr. Trịnh Thị Thuần, Head of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
Going through joys and sorrows, pressures, and even losses, the flame of her profession has never diminished; rather, it seems to be forged even more intensely after each journey. With nearly 20 years of dedication, the bond between her and the premature babies, those with illnesses, has never been a simple relationship of doctor and patient. It is a very instinctive, very human connection – when the physician looks at those tiny beings not only with expertise but with love, patience, and the belief that they must hold on to life if there is even the slightest chance.
“Every baby that comes to the department is a very small but incredibly strong life. Our mission is not to give up on them. As long as there is hope, even if it is very fragile, we will strive to the end,” this sharing does not carry the tone of grand proclamations, but it is enough to portray the image of a persistent, steadfast, and dedicated doctor with a very genuine love for her work.
Whenever a baby takes their first breath, it is known that behind that miracle is the shadow of a doctor who has devoted their heart to the newly begun lives.
