The Ministry of Health evaluation team assesses and grants operating licenses to the International Pediatrics Center, Hai Phong International Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital.

On the morning of October 14, 2023, Hai Phong International Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital welcomed a delegation from the Ministry of Health for the assessment of the operational license for the International Pediatrics Center under Hai Phong International Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital.

The assessment council from the Ministry of Health was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luong Ngoc Khue – Director of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management. The assessment delegation included leaders from various departments under the Ministry of Health, representatives from the Hai Phong Department of Health, the Head of the Private Medical Practice Management Department – Hai Phong Department of Health, along with experts from central hospitals.

Welcoming the assessment delegation, from the Corporation and Hai Phong International Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital were Mr. Hoang Manh The – Chairman of the Board of Directors, General Director of Hang Kenh Corporation, Dr. BSCKII Pham Thu Xanh – Executive Director of the Hospital, along with the professional directors and heads of departments/units.

At the meeting, Dr. Pham Thu Xanh – Executive Director of Hai Phong International Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital reported on the organization and personnel, medical equipment, physical structure, technical list, and professional procedures of the International Pediatrics Center.

After listening to the report, the evaluation team conducted a practical inspection of the facilities, equipment, and professional operational capacity of the Center, comparing it with the evaluation records. The evaluation council seriously discussed and proceeded with the assessment. In conclusion, the International Pediatrics Center has basically met the criteria regarding facilities, medical equipment, technical list, and professional qualifications.
At the end of the evaluation session, representatives from the Ministry of Health and Hai Phong Department of Health agreed on the viewpoint to guide the facility to complete the procedures for the International Pediatrics Center to be licensed to operate.

The International Pediatrics Center is a project within the development orientation of Hai Phong International Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, and is also a construction to celebrate the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union for the term 2023 – 2028. With a total construction area of 20,836 m2, consisting of 16 floors designed according to the Hospital – Hotel standard, featuring a modern and child-friendly space, it includes all necessary services and amenities, perfectly meeting the needs of pediatric patients and their families when coming for examination and treatment. Along with the previously established and operational specialties, the International Pediatrics Center has been established and is now operational with new specialties such as: Interdisciplinary ENT – Eye – Dental and Maxillofacial, specialties in Gastroenterology, Respiratory, Cardiology, Psychiatry, etc., ensuring comprehensive health care for children. It is hoped that with the expansion of scale and improvement of the quality of examination, treatment, and service, the International Pediatrics Center of Hai Phong International Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital will continue to be a reliable address, accompanying parents in the journey of protecting and caring for children’s health.
