Recently, Hai Phong International Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital successfully collaborated with specialists to rescue a newborn case with meconium ileus.
The mother, N.T. T.A from Hai Hau, Nam Dinh, chose Hai Phong International Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital to accompany her during the delivery of her second baby. It is known that throughout the pregnancy management process, the health of mother A and the fetus were stable. On the day of labor, under the dedication and professionalism of the Obstetrics – CSSS team, mother A safely delivered a little angel through normal delivery. After birth, the baby cried immediately, and health indicators were normal. However, by that evening, the baby unexpectedly vomited green fluid. Combined with the infant’s condition of not passing stool since birth, the pediatrician examined and ordered an X-ray, discovering signs of neonatal intestinal obstruction. Post-surgery, the child continues to be monitored and treated at the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Currently, the child’s health has stabilized, and both mother and child have been discharged in the joy of the child’s family and the entire delivery, surgery, anesthesia, and resuscitation team.
