The success rate of IVF at HP Fertility Reproductive Support Center – Hai Phong International Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital in 2022
Ensuring SAFETY and IMPROVING TREATMENT QUALITY is always the top priority of RTAC-certified Assisted Reproductive Technology centers.
On January 19, 2023, the Assisted Reproductive Technology Center – Hai Phong International Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital became the 4th center in the North and the 10th out of 45 centers in Vietnam to achieve this certification. Achieving RTAC certification is proof that HP Fertility always aims for international quality standards to ensure safety and improve success rates.
Each treatment cycle has distinct characteristics, so not all cycles will reach the egg retrieval, embryo transfer, or embryo freezing stages. Patients will be consulted by doctors about the appropriate treatment direction for them.
The success rate of IVF depends on many factors, including:
- Causes of infertility: diseases, abnormalities of the reproductive organs.
- The age of the wife and duration of infertility: The older the wife, and the longer the duration of infertility, the lower the success rate.
- Medical and surgical conditions affecting reproductive function.
- Embryo factors: Number of embryos transferred, quality of transferred embryos.
- Smoking habits and the use of stimulants: may adversely affect treatment outcomes
From May 2021 to December 2022, the HTSS Center – Hai Phong International Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital received 17,610 outpatient visits and treatments, performing over 880 IVF cases with a success rate of >65%.

FROZEN EMBRYO TRANSFER
The success rate after treatment was monitored, analyzed, and reported in 2022, including data from all frozen embryo transfer cycles, performed using both the intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) technique, and all cycles with and without preimplantation genetic testing (PGT). The clinical pregnancy rate, live birth rate, and live birth rate per clinical pregnancy are presented in the table below.

Like centers around the world, fresh embryo transfer is rarely encountered in IVF cycles, and the clinical pregnancy rate per fresh embryo transfer cycle, the live birth rate per fresh embryo transfer cycle, and the live birth rate per clinical pregnancy cases are statistically as follows.
RESULTS OF FRESH EMBRYO TRANSFER CYCLE
In 2022 and 2021, HP Fertility welcomed the birth of over 300 healthy babies, with a success rate of >60% (higher than the global average of 40-50%).
